Cristina Velocci is a New York-based freelance writer who has thrown herself off a bridge, dangled from a cliff by a rope, swam with sharks and stingrays, and otherwise submitted herself as a human guinea pig, all in the name of a good story.

When not moonlighting for Evel Knievel, she can be found writing stories for the Features department of Time Out New York, where she is currently an Assistant Editor.
